Abstract
The first data on the meiofaunistic assemblages and biomass occurring in the marine part of the Rance Estuary are given as a littoral prepollution survey. Faunal composition includes eight zoological permanent groups into which polychaetes and kinorhynques are ranking 3d and 4th in abundance. 94 nematodes species are distributed into homogeneous communities; slight differences are correlated with granulometric parameter fluctuations; population structure (F.C.A., diversity, abundance distribution) indicates a well-balanced competition between the components.
