Abstract
The complete larval development of the south Caribbean porcellanid crab Petrolisthes magdalenensis Werding, 1978, was carried out under laboratory conditions. At 27 degree C, the megalopa appeared after 9 days. Development consists in a transitory prezoea, two zoeal stages and a megalopa stage. The larvae exhibit telsonal features which place them in the Petrolisthes-group of porcellanid larvae.
