  • Project manager Open Science-team
    Are you a scientific master or PhD, and in for the project management of the European Open Science Cloud initiatives and projects in which the Open Science team of VLIZ is involved? We offer a challenging and varied job in a dynamic and international context. You can apply until 15 August.
     
  • Junior Biodiversity Data Scientist
    Get started as a junior Master in marine sciences or bioinformatics – and skilled in data management and programming – to work with biodiversity data in the Flemish Marine Data Center of VLIZ. You work within an Open Science context and always in close consultation with the data suppliers. You can apply until 15 August.
     
  • Project managers at IT department VLIZ
    The IT department of VLIZ is active in tens, mostly international projects to develop marine data systems and keep them operational. Due to the steady growth of the number of projects and the expansion of our activities towards High Performance Computing and Big data, we are looking for additional employees for various contracts and the setup of a recruitement reserve for future projects. For Masters in Science, Bioinformatics or IT. You can apply until August 28.
     
  • PhD Researcher Sea Spray Aerosols
    VLIZ is looking for a marine researcher to start a PhD-project investigating the influence of microscopic life on the formation and stability of sea foam. This research combines fieldwork and experiments in the lab, and biological observations with analytical chemistry. For masters in applied or exact sciences. You can apply until 1 September.
     
  • Marine engineer
    The Marine Observation Center of VLIZ is recruiting a marine engineer (BSc/MSc bioinformatics, electromechanics or industrial engineer) to co-operate in the marine LifeWatch observatory (infrastructure for biodiversity research in the North Sea), as well as in the research and innovation project Imagine, which builds tools for analyzing aquatic images equipped with artificial intelligence. You can apply until August 21.
     
  • Junior project administration employee
    Do you like working with numbers? Do you like finding solutions, together with your colleagues? Join our administrative team to do the administration and financial follow-up of our national, international and European projects. You can apply until 15 August.
