| De vereniging wenst bij te dragen tot het scheppen van voorwaarden om een rationele en verantwoordelijke exploitatie van de visbestanden op duurzame basis te waarborgen. Ze houdt hierbij rekening met de doelstellingen van het gemeenschappelijk visserijbeleid, en bijgevolg ook met de richtsnoeren van de Commissie voor het onderzoek van de steunmaatregelen van de staten in de visserij- en aquacultuursector.
De vereniging geeft invulling aan acties op volgende werkterreinen:
