A new subspecies of the genus Golfingia was described. It differs from the nominative subspecies G. vulgaris vulgaris (de Blainville, 1827) by the presence of large hooks on the untrovert; the small tail with long papillae on the posterior part of the trunk, and contractile vessel with vesicles.
