AB  - The immersed surface of the floating metal thanks of the newly constructed harbor at Lezardrieux is covered with a rich epifauna. The population of Spirographis spallanzani Viviani seams to be distributed over two years. There is little difference in the length of the tube and in the number of segments between the one and the two years old animals but the diameter of the opening and the fixed wiped weight increases in the older
animals. The Sycon ciliatum Fabricius are numerous and reach the unusual length of
70 cm long. Ciona intestinalis (L.) density exceeds 2000 animals by m2. The description given here points out the likely reasons for such a settlement of animal population and suggests the great interest of endeavouring the study of the life cycle time of these species, living in their natural area.
