Biology Type of larval development: Short planktonic, non-planktotrophic. [details]
Diagnosis Shell up to 5 mm, with oval contour and elevated profile, strongly curled backwards with the apex overhanging posterior margin. Sculpture of thick radial ribs, narrower than the interspaces, forming a coarse lattice with strong commarginal cords; the broader interspaces on the sides with a weak radial rib intercalated. Colour white. [details]
Distribution Eastern Atlantic, from the British Isles to Morocco, nearshore to ca. 200 m; Mediterranean, mostly 50-200 m. Rare on Gorringe seamount, 96-265 m [details]
