Information for speakers

The Organising and Programme Committees are grateful that you have accepted their invitation to deliver a presentation at the upcoming EurOCEAN 2010 conference, that will be held 12-13 October 2010 in Oostende, Belgium. The info below aims to provide you with some key information that will assist you with your preparations.

Length of presentations
Most presentations are scheduled to last for 20 minutes. Duration of the presentations will be strictly respected.

Your presentation
We assume that you will use PowerPoint for your presentation. Please provide the presentation file on Tuesday 5 October to This email address is being protected from spambots. Timely submission will allow us to load your presentation on the conference laptop and will minimise problems or delays when it is your turn to speak. Should you require any other system than the usual PowerPoint equipment, please let us know well in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements. Should your presentation be larger than 10MB, please let us know so that we can provide you with our details to tranfer the file using FTP (File Transfer Protocol).

Publishing
It is our intention to make the abstracts and PowerPoint presentations available on the conference website soon after the conference. This would allow the participants and a wider audience to read and see presentations they are interested in or have heard from. To this end, we will transform each document into a protected PDF file before publication. We will use the documents (summaries and PowerPoint presentations) that we received from you. Please let us know in advance if you should have any problem with this approach.

Conference fees
As invited speakers, your registration fee to the conference is waived.

Hotel accommodation
All invited speakers will be accommodated in Thermae Palace hotel and will receive a separate mail telling them how to book their hotel room.

Registration
Although we are already counting on your participation, we would like to ask you to still fill in and submit the online registration form. This will allow us to use the correct and updated information such as name, affiliation and contact details and will help to avoid that mistakes appear on your badge or in the conference documentation.
