| Abstract |
| Mediterranean Commission for Sustainable Development (MCSD) has adopted since 2001 a series of actions aiming at introducing sustainable urban management in the Mediterranean. Some actions have revealed the need for an urban renaissance, a term rather new for the area (as opposed to the experience in Northern Europe) European Commission has financially supported the project. |
