Abstract
    Despite intensive collections of intertidal material carried out along all coasts of Iceland during the last century, Rissoa parva ( da Costa, 1778) failed to be reported in this country. To our knowledge, since then no information concerning the distribution of the species in this partof the world has been published either. Recent samplings showed that the species must be considered today as part of the Icelandic marine fauna.
