Percentage of oiled guillemots amongst those found on monitored beaches

  • Definition : Percentage of oiled guillemots (Uria aalge) from the total number of guillemots found on monitored beaches during standardized winter surveys, by sub-region, in any given year.
  • Calculation : Number of oiled guillemots (Uria aalge) found/collected on surveyed beaches, divided by total number of found/collected guillemots, multiplied by 100.
