Abstract
    De Blauwband is een klein visje dat ongeveer 10 cm groot wordt. Hij is afkomstig uit het oosten van Azië. Werd in de jaren 60 van vorige eeuw uit Oost-Europa (o.a. Roemenië) ingevoerd maar heeft inmiddels heel het Europees continent veroverd. Oorzaken van introductie: import via ballast-water, al dan niet moedwillige introducties tijdens het uitzetten van vis voor de sportvisserij of door gebruik als aasvisje.
