The goal of this project is to quantify the plastic and litter flux in transitional waters, from rivers and harbours to the marine environment; and to detect plastic by remote sensing. The project will tackle data gaps in spatial-temporal information and contribute to assess the Scheldt flux, including industrial pellets, of plastic emissions to the North Sea.
