Beschrijving
This dataset contains up to three years of acoustic telemetry data of Diplodus sargus (n=20), Sarpa salpa (n=2), Sepia officinalis (n=6) and Solea senegalensis (n=22) in the Arrábida Marine Park (Portugal). The main objective of this study was to evaluate the potential benefits of the Luiz Saldanha Marine Park to three of the most important species for the local small scale artisanal fisheries, the white seabream, the Senegalese sole and cuttlefish. meer

This is an acoustic telemetry dataset containing animal (fish and cephalopod) tracking data collected for the project/study PhD Dabecasis, using VEMCO tags (V7 and V9) and receivers (VR2 and VR2W). A total of 20 white seabream (Diplodus sargus), 22 Senegalese sole (Solea senegalensis), 2 salema (Sarpa salpa) and 6 cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis) were captured, tagged, and released between 2010 and 2012 in the Arrábida Marine Park (Portugal). The main objective was to study the spatial ecology of these species and to better understand the protection provided by the marine protected area to these important species.
