Potential and integrated primary production measurements and calculations for 82 "Mechele" stations in the Southern Bight of the North Sea between January 1971 and July 1975. The data were digitized from the technical reports in the frame of the 4DEMON project. more
Compution of potential and integrated primary productivity. Potential production is presented for different sampling depths, corresponding to 100 %, 50 %, 35 %, 25 %, 13 %, 10 %, 4,5 % and 1 % of surface irradiation. Netplankton primary production is calculated by substracting nannoplankton primary production values from total phytoplankton primary production values. The dataset contains also gross and net primary production measurements and calculations through experimental 14C uptake. Additional parameters such as the 14CO2 fixation under dark conditions, bacterial (R.B.) and photosynthetic respiration (R.P.) and environmental data such as extinction/transmission coefficients, daily irradation and euphotic depth are noted. Results are given on total phytoplankton, netplankton and nannoplankton for 82 stations in the North Sea between January 1971 and July 1995.
