Description
Phytoplankton biomonitoring of the Belgian continental zone performed in the light of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD). The aim of this project is to develop a standardized method for routine phytoplankton monitoring of the Belgian coastal zone, by comparing and developing the best available techniques concerning preservation, identification and enumeration of marine phytoplankton samples, with special attention to Phaeocystis.
