Abstract
    This dissertation evaluates the impact of wind and turning on the tidal windows with the aid of ProToel for deep-drafted ships arriving at and departing from Zeebrugge. ProToel is a decision supporting tool for determining tidal windows based on both deterministic and probabilisticcriteria.
