In public aquariums, creation of new presentation depends on several parameters: the public's need, technical possibilities, species availability, opportunities, and competence.Confronted with such a project, a new presentation for local freshwater fauna, our work has consisted of critical and detailed analysis of our present display, aiming to determine, in the best manner, future animals and their needs. We paid special attention to a reconstitution of typical local environments, in order to strengthen, in mind of public, relations between animals and their environment, and to allow our visitors a personal discovery and reflection about the richness of our local environments
