Declaration of French small scale fishermen

With the support of environmental NGOs Greenpeace and WWF, French small scale fisheries decided to unite to defend their rights in France and in the EU. Small scale fishermen Anne Marie Vergez, shipowner from Saint Jean de Luz; Frédéric Reste, president of the Professional Union of small scale fishermen of Languedoc Roussillon; and Gwen Pennarun, President of the association of '"ligneurs de la Pointe de Bretagne", signed Wednesday 27 June a Declaration of French small scale fishermen devoted to the protection of the marine environment on Wednesday 27 June.
