Abstract
Six nematode species of the order Enoplida are described from the East Flower Garden at 72 m depth in the north-western Gulf of Mexico. The material is from sandy and rocky bottom samples influenced or beyond the influence of a sulphide-rich brine seep. Four species are new to science: Enoploides polysetosus sp.n., Leptosomatum woodsi sp.n., Culyptronema pulchrum sp.n. and Symploctoma brevispiculum sp.n. Mesacanthoides fibulatus Wieser & Hopper, 1967 and Cylicolaimus magnus (Villot, 1875) are redescribed and new characters are added to the existing descriptions.
