Prize Dr Edouard Delcroix 2010
The marine environment and human health
This international scientific prize of = 25 000 EUR will be awarded to a researcher or a research team to reward
an original scientific study on the marine environment within the context of potential medical applications.
The prize has been established in honour of Dr Edouard Delcroix (1891-1973), Belgian orthopaedic surgeon and pioneer in thalassotherapy.

Will be taken into consideration:
- fundamental research on medical aspects of the influence of seawater, of the maritime climate or marine organisms on human health;
- applied studies on the medical influence of seawater, of the maritime climate or marine organisms;
- studies relating the coastal and marine environment to human health.
