Until 2 May researchers of European universities and public research institutions can demand for free access on board of 12 European regional research vessels.

Under the umbrella of the EUROFLEETS FP-7 project ‘Towards an alliance of European research fleets’ a new transnational call "Regional 2" 2011 was launched.

The aim of the call is to provide ship-time for multi-national, collaborative research projects that will address important questions relating to all fields of basic marine research.

Priority will be given to proposals requesting ship-time on-board those research vessels which were not deployed in conjunction with the "Regional 1" call in 2010 such as: RV Aegeo; RV Belgica; RV Bilim 2; RV Celtic Voyager; RV Garcia del Cid; RV Heincke; RV Oceania; RV Ramon Margalef and RV Salme (see picture here above).

Deadline for application submission is Monday 2nd of May. The procedure consists of a one step, online submission of full proposals. All information and guidelines can be found on the EUROFLEETS website.
