| Abstract: |
The inshore coastal waters of Belgium are monitored on a monthly basis since August 2002. Nine stations allow to follow the existing along shore and inshore-offshore gradients in environmental parameters.
Parameters monitored include a temperature, salinity and turbidity profiles of the water column, temperature and salinity of surface waters, nutrient concentrations of surface water, concentrations of Chlorophyll-a and other pigments and secchie discs readings.
The data collection aims at setting-up a long-term dataset that is freely available to scientists and policy. |
