The author comments on some prehistoric and medieval artefacts he has found in the course of many years during beach combing in De Panne, North Sea coast of Belgium and a single find in northern France (see photographs). Silex and ceramics have been found. Some artefacts are connected to local sea salt harvesting in the late Neolithic and
