| Abstract |
HPLC/FD analysis of okadaic acid (OA) and dinophysistoxin 1 (DTX1) after derivatization with 9-anthryldiazomethane (ADAM) is the most practical and promising approach to detect these toxins in contaminated seafoods. Several parameters of the procedure have been systematically optimized. This has led us to propose an improved procedure, which when applied to mussel hepatopancreas extracts spiked with known amounts of toxins, gives reliable and reproducible results. |
