Abstract
    Specific hydrobiological conditions registered during April-September 1998 period caused important changes in the quantitative structure of zooplanktonic communities: increasing of biodiversity (9 species occured); unifonn participation of the most important taxonomic groups on the whole lagoon. A zonal ecological distribution registered, followed as: the increasing salinity due to influx of marine waters has induced a recovery of euryhaline species in the eastern littoral area; the high temperatures determined the development of freshwater and ponto-caspic species in the western continental zone; the high quantities of organic matter accumulated in the substrat of southern zone of lagoon supported major phyto- and zooplanktonic bloom.
