Abstract
This reference work offers a detailed description of crab fauna in the China Seas. The book consists of two parts, the first of which includes a brief historical review of the scientific research in this field, as well as a general discussion of the ecology, morphology, economic significance and systematics of these crustaceans. The second part describes 601 species, of which 70 are newly recorded for the China Seas. Morphological characteristics, habitat, and geographical distribution are given for each species, and a key to families, genera and species is provided.
