Abstract
This study demonstrates the potent vasopressor activity of homologous dogfish angiotensin (A) I and II. The AII competitive binding inhibitors (Sar -Val -Ala)-AII and (Sar -Ile)-AII did not inhibit the pressor action of dogfish AII but the converting enzyme inhibitor captopril effectively blocked conversion of AI to AII.
