Abstract
Caulacanthus ustulatus is a world-wide spread species but its northern limit on the Atlantic European coast was in Biarritz. During the last two years it has been found near Roscoff on the north coast of western Brittany, in the vicinity of oyster beds which are probably the vector of its transportation. The species reproduced actively but vegetatively - which suggests a geographical extension and probably no exotic intrusion.
