Abstract
A bi-lingual work has long been anticipated by those who take an interest, on a professional or non-professional level, in the molluscs of the genus Oliva. At long last we have something by the French Conchological Association, which covers modern Olives. It's wonderful to have a work that is both educational and accessible and is also delightful, thorough, comprehensive, and well thought out. Yet with 101 known species, discussed in a convincing manner, this work really showcases the up to date knowledge we now have in respect to the genus Oliva.
