Abstract
Development and reclamation has contributed to great changes in the marine and coastal environment of Singapore. The authors of this book hope to increase our appreciation for the abundance of biodiversity still remaining. This guide provides an account of the biology and life habits of more than 100 species of snails and clams, which are some of the molluscs still found today in the waters around Singapore. Color photographs augment the text and readers will recognize these molluscs and gain an understanding of their biology.
