Abstract
32 spp of Bryozoa and 31 spp of Hydrozoa have been recorded in the course of a diving survey of the rocky sublittoral zone of Plateau de Rochebonne and of lle d'Yeu. Among these, the presence of Harmerella nitida, until now considered as Mediteranean endemic, and Thuiaria articulata, reputed as a deep sea sp, was noted. The settlements are studied and compared with those already described for the Archipel de Glenan. The circalittoral community of the latter has been found to be similar to those of Rochebonne at the same depth, although clear water allows Laminaria hyperborea to settle lower (up to 40 m below low tide). On the contrary, at the lle d'Yeu, Laminaria-belt is limited around 18 m, but the 2 sublittoral communities are analogus, with only some discrete quantitative differences.
