| Abstract: |
The Canadian Register of Marine Species (CaRMS) is an integrative part of the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS). WoRMS is an expert validated database in which an editorial board, of over 200 taxonomic experts, provides content and ensure quality control over species names within their taxon group of expertise. Because CaRMS is a subcategory in WoRMS it contributes names and information to WoRMS and in return gets data management and editorial support from VLIZ (the host institution of WoRMS). |
