Abstract
The New Zealand species of Corophiidae are described and figured. The genera Corophium Latr., Paracorophium Stebbing, Ericthonius M.-Edw., and Camacho Stebbing are represented by a total of seven species. Corophium sextonae Crawford. Corophium acutum Chevieux, Corophium acherusicum Costa and Ericthonius pugnax Dana are either new records for New Zealand or have previously been described under other names. A new species, Paracorophium lucasi, is described from the freshwater Lake Rotoiti. Keys to genera and species are given.
