Abstract
This ground-breaking book is the first guide to cover all 479 species of marine mollusc known from Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm and their associated islets. It covers all the familiar seashells as well as well as more unusual forms including sea slugs (nudibranchs), cephalopods (squid, etc.), scaphopods and chitons. As well as offering descriptions and illustrations, a wealth of historical, scientific and anecdotal information is provided plus advice on the collection, study and identification of specimens. This is the first guide of its kind and it will be of interest to naturalists, conchologists, zoologists or for anyone with a passing interest in the natural history of the Channel Islands and the English Channel.
