BPS: Irène Manton Student Prize Competition

Each year at the annual meeting of the British Phycological Society the Irène Manton Prize is awarded for the best oral paper by a postgraduate student. The competition is open to any postgraduate student.  However, because this year the British Phycological Annual meeting is to be held jointly with EPC6, there will be a two-step process in order to participate:

  1. Submit an abstract before April 15th.
  2. In addition, record a two minute video where you pitch your idea in English. The video doesn’t have to be professional. We just want an impression of you and your research. Post the video on YouTube (mark as unlisted) and send the link, together with a short abstract in English, to epc6@nhm.ac.uk before April 15th. The Manton Prize jury will select the 10 most promising talks from the submissions and will invite those researchers to the Manton Session at EPC6. If authorized by you, videos will be integrated in the EPC6 website.
