This project (GPM_17_19), conducted by the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO-CSIC), focuses on the acoustic telemetry of Atlantic bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus) in the Mediterranean Sea and Eastern Atlantic. Acoustic transmitter and animal metadata will be shared through the European Tracking Network (ETN) to facilitate the identification of detections recorded by compatible acoustic receivers across the network and contribute to the understanding of bluefin tuna movements and migration patterns. Scope Themes: Biology, Biology > Acoustics, Biology > Ecology - biodiversity, Biology > Fish, Fisheries > Fish stocks/catches/taggings, Physical > Underwater acoustics Keywords: Marine/Coastal · Acoustic data · Acoustic detection · Acoustic tags · Acoustic Tags · Acoustic telemetry · Acoustic Telemetry · Acoustic tracking · Animal migrations · Animal Project · Bluefin · Fish tracking · Migrations · Tuna · European Continental Shelf · Thunnus thynnus (Linnaeus, 1758) Geographical coverage European Continental Shelf [Marine Regions] Temporal coverage
