VLIZ North Sea Award 2012 rewards innovative marine research

The VLIZ North Sea Award is awarded to a researcher or reserach team active and resident in a country bordering the North Sea. The prize amounts to 1000 EUR and aims to recognize a scientific work that contributes to innovative basic and applied research concerning the structure, functioning and sustainable management of the North Sea ecosystem, with particular attention to the shallow coastal areas and estuaries of the Southern Bight and the Channel. The contributions should be of postgraduate or postdoctoral level.

De North Sea Award 2012 will be presented on the occasion of the VLIZ Young Marine Scientists' Day 2013 on the 15th February 2013.

Candidates are requested to submit their documents before 30th November 2012. More information on the procedure is available on the VLIZ website or in the regulations.
