Artisanal fishing sites of Watamu-Malindi area collected at the North coast of Kenya by marine conservationists. The data file can be opened in any GIS software. more

Data captured in coordinate reference system WGS1984. It represents locations of artisanal fishing areas in Watamu-Malindi area in Kenya. The data was captured in an independent assignment to help in producing a map of fishing grounds. Data collection involved riding on a boat with the fishermen from various landing sites and tracking on a GPS the boundaries of the fishing grounds.
