The Zeeleeuw is a former pilot vessel servicing the Belgian coastal research community since 2000 as a coastal research vessel. It mainly operates day cruises in Belgian inshore waters, regularly also French and Dutch waters and in the Westerschelde estuary (The Netherlands). Department Fleet of the Flanders Ministry operates the vessel in close co-operation with Flanders Marine Institute that co-ordinates the cruise schedule and manages the scientific equipment. |
