This study is the third component of the ‘Research on the environmental effects of the SIGMA plan: Effects of dredgings and harbour expansion on the environment’

The volume of suspended matter is estimated. Suspended matter is important to maintain the open structure of channel and because it limits the light absorption in the Sea Scheldt. Suspended matter has an own characteristic evolution and needs intensive attention
