The application of modern IT for education in aquaculture and international law of the sea in South Africa and the SADC region

Abstract
This project aims to establish a cooperation between the universities of Ghent, Leuven and Brussels on the one hand and the universities of Rhodes and Cape Town on the other hand with respect to the application of modern IT and muli-media techniques for the production, testing, and distribution of course material in two diciplines of prioritary importance for South Africa and the SADC ("South African Developing Countries") region, namely aquaculture and international law of the sea. It resulted in the production of a course on CD-ROM.
