Abstract
    This study presents the first records of four marine gastropod species collected from Hare Island in the Gulf of Mannar, India: Turbonilla mumia (A. Adams, 1861), Pyrgulina maiae Hornung & Mermod, 1924, Styloptygma aciculina (Souverbie, 1865), and Styloptygma versicolor Melvill and Standen 1897. The discovery of these species extends their known distribution ranges and contributes to the understanding of marine biodiversity in the Gulf of Mannar.
