From 3 to 8 June 2024, the European Marine Board (EMB) and the Flemish Institute for the Sea (VLIZ) will organise the Ecopath 40 Years conference at the InnovOcean campus in Ostend. Ecopath with Ecosim is free ecosystem modelling software widely used worldwide for ecological, management, policy and other issues. It is already being integrated into the workings of the ICES working group on multispecies assessments and by NOAA (USA), which applied this software early on and is now using it extensively for quantitative assessments.
Registration is now possible for:
- the conference itself (3-5 June),
- various training courses and workshops (6-8 June), ranging from a 2.5-day introductory course to advanced bootcamps to solve specific modelling problems.
There is an early bird registration discount of 20% until 15 April 2024 for the conference and workshops. Please note that there are only 150 seats in the conference hall, so register early.
