An acoustic telemetry network to determine the escape routes of silver eel in the hinterlands of the North Sea Canal. Potential barriers will be investigated including several fish passages, 'Zeesluis IJmuiden' and the ' Zoutdam'. Also, there will be information gathererd about the spawning migration of some freshwater fish species between the North Sea Canal and the Spaarne.
