Abstract
D-Flow Flexible Mesh is a new 1D-2D-3D hydrodynamical simulation package that runs on unstructured meshes. It is still in active development (Deltares, 2012).

In the framework of this project test models are developed in the D-Flow FM software for the Zandvliet- Berendrecht lock complex. These models are based on the existing Delft3D model with domain decomposition (Decrop et al., 2010). The use of an unstructured grid in D-Flow FM allows a local grid refinement in the study area and makes it easier to take the complex geometry into account.

The results of the D-Flow FM models are compared with the Delft3D output and with measurements.
