VLIZ invites researchers to present their work at the VLIZ Marine Science Day 2026, either through a short pitch or a poster. The event will take place on Wednesday 4 March 2026 at De Grote Post in Ostend. This year’s edition focuses entirely on internationalisation and offers a dynamic programme featuring inspiring presentations and interactive moments. In addition, visitors will be able to explore innovative projects and collaborations at several demo and info booths.
Marine researchers are given the opportunity to showcase their work. Two presentation formats are available:
- Pitch presentations (pre-doctoral researchers only; 5 minutes)
Those wishing to give a pitch presentation can submit an abstract until 11 January 2026. Abstracts not selected for an oral presentation will automatically be invited to participate in the poster session.
- Poster presentations
The same deadline of 11 January 2026 applies to poster submissions. All accepted posters will be included in the poster exhibition (participants are asked to bring their own printed poster).
