The VLIZ Marine Science Day 2025, taking place on Wednesday, 5 March at VIVES hogeschool in Bruges, will be a special event, as it marks the 25th anniversary of the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ). In addition to the usual scientific presentations and networking opportunities for marine scientists across a wide range of disciplines, this year’s event offers a unique chance to reflect on VLIZ’s contributions over the past 25 years.
The 2025 edition promises a dynamic mix of presentations and interactive sessions designed to cover a broad spectrum of marine science topics. There will also be interactive demo booths highlighting VLIZ’s rich 25-year journey, with a focus on key milestones, groundbreaking projects, and valuable collaborations.
Are you joining us? Marine scientists from universities and research institutions are invited to share their work with the community in one of two ways: a five-minute oral presentation (for pre-docs only) or a poster presentation. To participate, please submit an abstract by January 10, 2025, following the guidelines on the VMSD website.
The full program will be available on the VMSD website by mid-February 2025.
