Abstract
During the summers from 1971 to 1974, the prospection of S. serratum natural populations spread on the coast of Rade de Brest, Presqu'ile de Crozon and Baie de Douarenez where 75 representative samples, gathering 97,066 Sphaeroma , were collected on a 280 km long part of coast. The analysis of the results corroborates the complexity of the Briton populations of the species and the greater polychromatic wealth in the river mouths or the particularly sheltered areas. On the contrary, the correlation in the distribution of frequencies in lunulatum and ornatum on the one hand and in signatum and "red" on the other hand, is not so obvious as on the northern coast of Brittany.
