Abstract
Intertidal bivalves were sampled within 5 quadrats placed at 20 m intervals alongtransect lines perpendicular to the shore off northern Minahasa, Northern Sulawesi, Indonesia. Six transect lines, 50 m apart, were sampled in each study site. A total of 13 bivalve species in 11 families were recorded. Densities were highly variable. Three species groupings were identified, diversity indices range from 1.17-1.65. Community similarity was 11.9-71.25%.
